Christine D. Aspell is a seasoned board advisor and retired Partner and Office Managing Partner of KPMG LLP, with more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in audit, risk management, and corporate governance. During her tenure at KPMG, she led the Baltimore office, drove strategic growth initiatives, expanded market presence, and doubled the partner base. She also served as lead audit partner for major financial institutions, including a U.S. Central Bank System, T. Rowe Price, and CitiFinancial.
Christine brings deep expertise in financial oversight, enterprise risk management, and regulatory compliance, including U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. She has advised boards and executive teams on audit committee matters, financial reporting, governance frameworks, and M&A-related due diligence, providing disciplined oversight and sound judgment in complex and highly regulated environments.
In addition to her executive career, Christine has held numerous board and leadership roles across business, nonprofit, and educational organizations. Her national leadership experience includes serving as Chair of KPMG’s Women’s Advisory Board and as a member of KPMG’s Nominating Committee for the Board of Directors. She has been recognized multiple times among Maryland’s Top 100 Women and named to the Power 100 lists for her leadership and community impact.
